Im about to install a wideband and am looking for the best place to install the sensor in my exhaust. I would have flipped if some idiot had cut off my flanges and welded strait to my lts. Doing a tri y sort of header design on a 4 cylinder and the stock postition of the o2 sensor is pretty much right after the manifold but there will be around 3 feet of extra piping with this custom header. Where can i install the sensor to be the most accurate and give reliable readings. I had put my headers on too and forgot to put the o2 sensors in first but im 17 so my hands are smaller and i got them on after about 5 minutes. They make some collector reducers that have a welded in place ring that allows the o2 sensor to screw into it without having to mess with the headers.
