Is there anything i can do to try to make it work. Im having errconnectionrefused shown when trying to connect to the router rt n56u to update the firmware.

If you get this far id suggest using ap modegood luck. Previously the connection worked fine and ive not changed anything in the router settings. After several minutes it should connect and open to a setup page. I would say your trying to connect to the isp side of the network hence a refused connection.
