End line switch wiring. Here a single pole switch controls the power to a light fixture. Connect the last switch in the usual manner looping the wire around the screw in a clockwise direction. The source is at the switch and 2 wire cable runs from there to the light. Connect one end of the 6 inch wire to the top terminal of the first switch. Turn the screws clockwise to tighten them against the wires. If you have a specific light or socket wired to one light switch then that light will have end of run wiring.

Wrap the black wire in the switch box around the top right brass screw on the single pole light switch. So an end of run switch is the last component in the wiring of a circuit and in effect the wire feeding the switch is coming from the light fixture and not the other way around. Wrap the white wire marked with black electrical tape around the bottom right brass screw on the switch. There is no switch because you use the onoff switch on the machine.
